Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support daily kitchen operations in our full-service hotel. This role assists the Executive Chef with food production, staff supervision, and maintaining quality, consistency, and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and passionate about delivering high-quality food in a professional kitchen environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance during service
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Support menu execution, prep, and production
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with inventory, ordering, and food cost control
- Help train and develop kitchen team members
- Ensure proper use and care of kitchen equipment
What We're Looking For
- Previous Sous Chef or lead cook experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
- Ability to lead and work alongside a kitchen team
- Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
