Principal Designer, NextGen Discovery and Search Full-time Business Segment: Media Group Functions Compensation: USD 170,000 - USD 220,000 - yearly We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to lead the evolution of our Content Discovery experience with an expert understanding of UX strategy, systems thinking, and design excellence. Our Product Design team is shaping the future of content discovery through bold experimentation — exploring generative AI, next‑gen mobile experiences, and personalized interfaces that inspire deeper engagement. What You’ll Do Own end‑to‑end design for complex content discovery initiatives (e.g., AI Search, Bento‑powered metadata experiences, mobile discovery evolution). Translate loose or ambiguous problem spaces into clear frameworks, hypotheses, and design directions. Deliver production‑ready UX designs in alignment with overarching business and UX goals for both domestic and international audiences. Identify actionable insights and ensure they align with the long‑term design and product strategy. Drive alignment among stakeholders and leadership on research insights and design decisions. Rapidly drive progress of existing work (experience designs, UX guides, information architecture, visual designs) to project completion. Partner closely with PM, Engineering, Data, and Research to define requirements, scope, dependencies, and success criteria. Collaborate with larger UX team in ideation and concept explorations throughout project lifecycles, facilitating and driving UX solutions, discussions, and planning while maintaining project oversight until completion. Maintain a critical eye and obsessive attention to detail. Lead others, grow talent, provide creative direction and mentorship, and define patterns and practices for the team and the product. Share findings with fellow designers and present them visually to ensure designs align with long‑term strategy. Qualifications Degree in design, computer science, human factors, or equivalent work experience. 10+ years of relevant design experience with proven leadership capacity. Proven ability to direct others through the creative process and communicate solutions to stakeholders. Strong understanding of interaction design principles. Proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite, Microsoft 365, and Jira. Experience in UX prototyping, motion graphics best practices, and accessibility design. Excellent collaborative and creative problem‑solving skills. Ability to operate independently and manage multiple deadline‑driven projects. Strong portfolio of solid web, mobile, and multimedia work. Deep knowledge of cross‑platform usability standards and UI specifications. Familiarity with platforms such as Roku, Fire TV, Samsung, Apple TV, X1, etc. Experience designing for international audiences and accessibility. Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, requiring contribution from the office at least four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
