Duration: 3+ months
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, 40 hours/week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. No overtime needed. Pay Rate: $25 - $27/hr Job Overview We are seeking an Accountant to perform monthly accounts receivable activities, provide accounting guidance and support, and serve as a liaison with finance teams and internal/external customers. Responsibilities
- Analyze account balances, investigate unusual items, make adjustments, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Review and post journal entries and resolve accounting issues.
- Coordinate with accounting and finance teams to research and resolve questions.
- Post, review, and reconcile cross-border charges and transactions.
- Support general ledger activities, including recurring journal entries, cost centers, GL accounts, and accounting periods.
- Provide financial/accounting systems training and user guides as needed.
- Perform accounting and financial updates, calculations, and accuracy reviews.
- Support ongoing internal and external financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding of applicable accounting rules and regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong computer skills, including Excel .
- Experience with the General Ledger module of an ERP system; SAP preferred .
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- General office environment with extensive sitting, phone, and computer use.
- May occasionally be required to lift, move, and carry up to 25 pounds.
