As this innovative school launches its very first year as an EI provider, they're searching for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) ready to grow alongside their program. Candidates who are open to starting part-time and expanding to full-time as caseloads grow will thrive in this flexible, supportive contract role near New York, NY.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or eligibility as an SLP; open to both CCC and CFY candidates
- Special interest or experience in Early Intervention and working with young children
- Team-oriented, patient, and adaptable with strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with special education teachers and assistants
- Willingness to start part-time with potential for full-time (up to 40 hours/week) as the program expands
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group speech-language therapy sessions for young children (all rooms supported by 1:1 teacher assistants and special education teachers)
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each child’s unique needs
- Maintain accurate records and document progress according to program guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, collaborate with other specialists, and contribute to a positive classroom atmosphere
- Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision, especially valuable for Clinical Fellows (supervisor on-site, ready to support)
- Work a 12-month schedule, ensuring continuous support and progress for students throughout the year
