Join our reputable team and be part of a healthcare institution known for its clinical excellence and compassionate care.Under the direction of the Department Director, supervision of the Radiology Supervisor, and in collaboration with radiologists, the Ultrasound Technologist I performs clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards for all patients served: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control and organizational improvement activities. Serves as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers. Participates in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training Graduate of a program in diagnostic ultrasound approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association or equivalent education/experience or Completed equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job training, etc. Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a hospital-based ultrasound technologist. Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
