MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY 10019
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evening Shift
Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM | Saturday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate:
Local: $70–$75/hr
Traveler: $75–$82/hr

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology — Required

• Active New York State LRT License — Required

• ARRT (MRI) certification — Required

• 2+ years of MRI experience — Preferred

• Strong knowledge of MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy, and physiology

• Experience with PACS and IDX/Radiology Information System

• Strong MRI technical and patient-positioning skills

• Excellent communication and patient-care skills

• Ability to follow MRI safety protocols

Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations according to established imaging protocols

• Position patients and MRI coils for optimal image quality

• Review MRI safety questionnaires before each scan

• Educate patients regarding MRI procedures and provide clear instructions

• Evaluate images for technical quality and transmit studies to PACS

• Complete exam documentation and patient tracking in IDX

• Maintain MRI equipment, supplies, and accessories

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment

• Assist physicians during MRI procedures as needed

• Follow department, patient-safety, and infection-control procedures
