Family Medicine Physician

Presbyterian is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Medicine trained physician in Tucumcari, NM. Provider cares for patients, by providing outpatient, primary care services. Provider will lead and work collaboratively with a team to provide care to patients. Practice Info 18-20 patients per day Inpatient rounding as needed APP support Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses with a focus on access, cost management, and reduced ED and hospital utilization. Make professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen. Order, conduct, and interpret appropriate diagnostic x-ray and lab tests. Prescribe treatments, medications, and non-pharmacologic therapies with a strong alignment toward value. Document all patient encounters and communications appropriately. Manage the provider/patient relationship. Receive and resolve patient complaints. Involved in education and counseling of individuals, families, and groups.
