Job Responsibilities/Description:
- Strategic improvement of Office 365 services through engineering, service deployment, and operational functionality of all Microsoft 365 applications, with expert focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project, and OneNote applications. Familiarity and experience with OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online.
- Development of timely, cost effective and integrated Basic Productivity Service solutions. Monitor and report on Basic Productivity Service advancements to ensure compliance responsibilities are met. Continuation of strategic improvement of Microsoft 365 services.
- Document recommendations for tool enhancement, optimization, and/or process improvement.
- Troubleshoot and provide Level III support for Microsoft 365 operational management as needed and/or provide guidance to managed partner Operational Support (Level I & II support) including ticket resolution and documentation of resolution in Knowledge Base (Service Now).
- Must have prior experience deploying Microsoft Office 365, including companywide settings and policies. Plan, test, and migrate/deploy Microsoft Office 365 64-bit version to end user machines.
- Create Microsoft 365 installation application/packages and software updates for Windows servers on an as needed basis as well as Windows 10 machines using SCCM/MDT technologies.
- Administrator role in Office 365 to manage and update user accounts, assign licenses, and ensure end users can access network both on premise and remotely for secure network access on laptops, desktops, and other mobile devices.
- Manage administration, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and other cloud services using Office 365 admin tools and PowerShell scripting for automation and querying.
- Deliver solutions with focus on automation, update channels, software installation, configuration, development, and compliance with security standards and GPOs.
- Manage daily service owner tasks application approvals, content management, reporting metrics, etc.
- PowerShell scripting/Power Automate experience a plus.
Other Functions & Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate and complete assignments/tasks under minimal supervision.
- Implements document retention policies in accordance with Corporate Records and Legal policies.
- Stays informed of Microsoft 365 features and capabilities and collaborates with necessary teams to plan, test, implement and communicate any changes to user community.
- Ensures proper security standards are enforced.
- Perform complex patch testing, deployment, and maintenance activities; ensures patch testing is completed accurately and timely.
- Troubleshoot complex and escalated application and/or customer issues created as a result of problem resolution.
- Ensure technical assistance and proper documentation is provided to all members of the IT organization.
- Assist employees, vendors, or other customers by answering questions related to application procedures and services.
- Complete work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional end user service.
Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum of five years of IT experience with specific skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Advanced knowledge of the following: network components and function, server operating systems, workstation operating systems both Mac and Windows,
- Proven ability to meet established service levels, availability, performance, data privacy, and security guidelines is necessary.
- This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all types of end users from warehouse workers to executives.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure, accurately meet deadlines and present a professional demeanor is essential.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team, multi-task, and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines simultaneously is required.
- Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude are essential. Maintaining confidentiality, treating others with respect and upholding J&J Credo values are key attributes.
- Must be an analytical thinker and detail oriented. Organizational and problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.
- Must have prior experience as a Microsoft Office 365 Administrator as well as expert understanding and experience using all aforementioned Microsoft 365 applications.
- A basic understanding of network/server topologies, server hardware, and security as well as network operating systems and applications is also required.
- Under general guidance, must be able to utilize basic project management skills to implementing new initiatives. Assigned tasks and projects; manage projects within budget and time constraints.
- Expertise in using PowerShell for automating administrative functions.
- Certification in relative technology is a plus
