Structural Engineer

Job Overview Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Naval Nuclear Lab site in Niskayuna, New York. Responsibilities Develop and define project scope with sponsors. Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for buildings and utility projects. Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates. Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors. Required Qualifications B.S. Structural Engineering. Experience performing structural engineering tasks, including the development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates. Working knowledge of building codes and standards. Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFIs, construction inspections, etc.). Active or recently active DOE or DOD Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications EIT certificate and/or P.E. License. Engineering consulting experience. Working knowledge of the NEC. Other Job Requirements United States Citizenship. Compensation and Benefits Salary commensurate with education and experience, may range between $90,000 and $200,000 annually.
