Inbound Receiving & Inventory Control Specialist

A day in the lifeYou start your shift by checking the day’s purchase orders, unloading incoming trucks, and confirming every part number and count against packing lists. You move seamlessly between the dock, inventory locations, and production cells—labeling materials, storing them in the correct bins, and staging kits so teams can build without delay. Later, you hop in a company vehicle to run a local delivery to a trusted vendor, returning with parts that you carefully unload and verify before receiving them into the system. Before you wrap up, you complete a cycle count, tidy up the aisles, and confirm that inventory records match what’s on the shelves.What you’ll handleReceive purchase orders and materials with precision; verify quantities and part numbers and ensure same-day completion of receipts.Inspect, count, weigh, or measure items from inbound shipments and reconcile against purchase orders/packing lists.Process receipts in the computer system, assigning materials to the correct locations.Conduct cycle counts and adjust inventory records as directed to maintain accuracy.Operate a forklift safely to load, unload, move, and stage materials.Pick orders and assemble kits for production requests.Transport materials to and from a local vendor using a company vehicle while following all safety and company policies.Load and unload vendor deliveries, protecting product integrity and verifying accuracy.Pitch in with additional tasks as business needs arise.What you’ll bringHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.1–3 years of material handling experience.Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record (required); able to safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries.Comfort with scales and rulers; solid basic math.Computer proficiency, including Word and Excel; prior MRP exposure is a plus.Clear communicator who can work independently with minimal supervision.Safety- and quality-focused, dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.Strong accountability; properly label all materials and own the impact of your decisions.ProficienciesShipping/ReceivingMaterial Handler ExperienceLoading and Unloading VehiclesHeavy Material HandlingForklift LicensedExperience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentBasic Computer SkillsCompensationPay Range: $18.00 – $22.00 (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)Our commitmentAt Durex Industries, we are not only an employer, but also an advocate for equal opportunity and inclusivity.
