Commercial & Transit Sales Director

Compensation: $250,000 plus with salary and bonuses. A-Z Bus Sales is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our Commercial & Transit (C&T) division. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and strategic direction while leading a high-performing field sales team serving public transit agencies and commercial operators. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will have full P&L ownership, shape long-term strategy, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve company-wide growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute the sales and business strategy for the C&T division Manage full P&L responsibility and deliver against revenue and profit targets Develop and implement SMART goals to drive team performance Partner with executive leadership to support overall company strategy Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across multiple locations Establish and monitor individual and team sales goals and KPIs Drive ongoing training in product knowledge, sales processes, and industry trends Sales & Business Development Build and maintain relationships with key customers, transit agencies, and fleet operators Oversee RFPs, contract negotiations, and major bid opportunities Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share Maximize federal and state grant opportunities for customers Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Marketing, and other departments to align on growth initiatives Support trade shows and marketing campaigns to generate leads and drive retention Manage inventory strategy and ensure strong ROI performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Sales growth and net profit performance Forecast accuracy and backlog management Reduction of aged inventory Market share expansion Qualifications Required 5–10 years of professional sales experience, including 5+ years in leadership Proven success leading and developing results-driven sales teams Strong experience with P&L management and budget ownership Background in bus transportation, transit, or heavy equipment sales Experience working with transportation directors or fleet owners Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience) Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Preferred MBA or advanced business education Office-based in Colton, CA with leadership oversight of multiple locations Extensive travel required to support customers, team, and industry events Full-time schedule with flexibility for extended hours as needed Why Join A-Z Bus Sales?
