We are now hiring a Detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with at least 3+ years of experience managing the revenue cycle to join our team!

Should be responsible for the timely billing, follow-up and collection efforts on outstanding receivable accounts that are billed to insurance companies, managed care entities, government programs, and other liable third parties . Responsibilities include billing and collections.

Identify and post necessary adjustments to patient accounts dependent on negotiated rates. Provide insurance companies with additional documentation or records (if requested) to expedite payments and resolve denials.

Accurately interpret EOB for posting and netting patient accounts. Communicate with insurance companies regarding unpaid claims or denials and provide the payer with the required information to expedite approval and payment. Ascertain that the status of accounts and balances and identify any issues such as discrepancies and inconsistencies.

Oversee the issuance of bills, receipts and invoices and ensure that any problems are identified and resolved immediately. Follow-up on submitted claims to ensure that they are paid on time and make sure that any denied claims are resubmitted on time. Look through delinquent accounts to determine outstanding payments and follow up with patients to ensure that they are paid on time. Review and confirm that posting and data entry duties are handled timely and appropriately.
