Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults on the Med Surg Telemetry unit, including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, and general surgery patients, with telemetry monitoring and progressive care as needed
- Administer medications, start and manage IV therapy, perform standard nursing procedures, and respond to patient deterioration; coordinate care with hospitalists
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and utilize unit equipment; document accurately in the EPIC system; ensure safe medication administration and adherence to protocols
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, participate in rapid response/Code events as appropriate, and support patient safety initiatives and discharge planning
- Maintain a patient-centered approach focused on safety, quality, and continuous learning; operate within scope with access to 24/7 hospitalist support
- Floating is not required; any voluntary float remains within scope and unit guidelines

Requirements
- Must start within the next week; license on file at submission
- Active RN license on file at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS must be completed prior to start
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Prior travel experience preferred
