Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapy strategies that address the unique needs of clients.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.

• Maintain up-to-date clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that documentation reflects the quality of care delivered.

• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the overall therapeutic approach and improve clinical outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health research by participating in ongoing professional development workshops and conferences.

• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems effectively for documentation, scheduling, and client management, ensuring seamless workflow.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role as an LPC at Unity Point, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, ranging from children and adolescents to adults facing a multitude of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues. Your expertise will contribute to developing coping strategies and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual clients’ needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.

• Minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in clinical settings.

• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to counseling practice.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish rapport with a culturally diverse clientele and foster trust in therapeutic relationships.

• Proficiency in using EMR software and related technological tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Unity Point Diagnostic and Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 110,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus and performance incentives.
