How will your role impact First Command?

Working within the Graphic Design section of Marketing this position will leverage our brand standards to produce exceptional creative assets. You will collaborate at times with other creative teams, internal marketing coordinators and digital teams. Applying strategic thinking to deliver best in class creative across all communication channels including social media, print, slide design, video and web that focus on our military client lifecycle, Advisor training and business and internal messaging. The ability to conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design problems is key to success. Must be confident working from concept to final production.

What will you do in this position?

• Assist in all stages of the creative process from concept development through release and/or launch. This includes layout design and revision, asset management and final page file approval.
• Collaborate and consult with other designers, writers, project managers, and the digital team.
• Develop innovative graphic design that positions our company and brand in the most effective way possible.
• Ideate and brainstorm concepts that reflect brand style and consistency
• Create quality design mock-ups and prototypes for approval by senior designers, manager or clients.
• Design and help build imagery and motion graphics for dynamic web pages in conjunction with our digital team.
• Completion of all creative projects on time and within budget constraints.

What skills & qualifications do you need?

Education

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic design, advertising/marketing communications.

Work Experience

• 1-3 years design experience at a top studio or in-house department are necessary.
• Work in financial services field a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency on Macintosh with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere or Avid.
• Proficiency in video motion graphic software such as Apple Motion or Adobe After Effects.
• Knowledge of photography, motion graphics and video production
• Knowledge of print and digital production
• Ability to think strategically and creatively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to produce under pressure.
• Has good organizational skills.
• Must have proven conceptual skills.
