We are hiring a Kitchen Program Operations Assistant 2 who brings strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset to support our program operations across locations. This is a hands-on, support-focused role where you will assist with program coordination, kitchen operations, and cross-functional tasks, partnering with the Health and Nutrition Specialist and internal teams to support consistency, compliance, and service delivery.Pay and Work Setup Hourly pay range: $16.66 Onsite role: Based out of our Butler (Mt. Chestnut) home office, with occasional in-region travel for scheduled site visitsWhat You Will Do You will support the day-to-day functions that help our organization remain consistent, compliant, and responsive to program and family needs. Program Operations SupportAssist in implementing program objectives in alignment with agency plans and regulatory requirementsSupport daily operations of agency programs including clerical and administrative duties as assignedMaintain accurate electronic and paper records as neededAssist with distribution of information to staff and families across program areasKitchen and Site SupportAssist or provide coverage in kitchen operations, including ordering and purchasing food and suppliesDeliver meals to program locations across the regionConduct routine visits to program kitchens to organize, clean, and maintain equipment and workspace standardsCollaboration and Program EngagementWork collaboratively with staff, families, and program teams to support communication and service deliveryAssist with classroom support when neededSupport family events and activities in coordination with Family Services and enrollment staffPromote program participation through community engagement and recruitment support effortsCompliance and Program StandardsSupport implementation of program practices aligned with Head Start and Early Head Start Performance StandardsMaintain confidentiality of staff and family informationParticipate in safety-related activities including committee involvement and assigned initiativesContribute to maintaining a positive organizational culture aligned with program-wide expectationsDecision Authority (How You Will Work)Apply established procedures and guidelines to routine operational and support tasksCoordinate activities with internal teams to ensure consistent program supportEscalate complex operational, safety, or compliance-related issues to the Health and Nutrition Specialist or leadershipWhat You Bring RequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDTwo years of experience working with young childrenStrong computer skills and ability to complete administrative tasksPennsylvania Driver's License and reliable transportationPreferredExperience supporting food service, kitchen operations, or multi-site programsSkills that stand outStrong communication and interpersonal skillsOrganizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentFlexibility and willingness to support a variety of program needsBenefits HighlightsWe are proud to offer benefits that support stability and peace of mind, including:Retirement: Automatic 3% employer 401(k) contribution after one year, no employee contribution requiredAdditional coverage options may include: group life, AD&D, and dental coverage depending on eligibility and enrollmentPhysical and Work RequirementsProlonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, and working at floor level with childrenAbility to lift up to 45 poundsFrequent movement including twisting, reaching, and lifting throughout the workdayAbility to travel in-region to multiple program locations and facilitiesEarly Learning Connections is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
