Flexco, a leading global manufacturer of conveyor system solutions, is seeking a dedicated problem-solver with a desire to provide the highest level of service as a Customer Service Representative, based out of our Downers Grove, Ill. location. The chosen candidate will work directly with our distributor partners, customers, and outside sales team to provide all aspects of product support, including product recommendations by application, ordering, returns, and customer feedback. In addition, this position will be involved in various systems inputting and updating data for backorders, Ecommerce ordering, and Salesforce to manage the workflow.

Purpose: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as a key liaison between customers, distributors, Sales, Marketing, and internal teams. This role supports customer relationships, inside sales activities, and order-to-invoice processing while proactively identifying opportunities to add value and grow business. The CSR is expected to provide accurate, timely, and consistent support while maintaining a customer-first mindset.
What you will need:
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with data entry accuracy and typing skills
- Preferred understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
- Ability and willingness to learn and understand technical product information across the Flexco product portfolio
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and personable when working with customers and distributors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong data entry accuracy and typing skills
- Willingness to participate in occasional travel for trade shows, sales calls, or company events
What you will be doing:
- Act as a consultant and value-added resource to customers by proactively identifying opportunities, not just responding to requests
- Facilitate the sales process by managing open sales orders, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience
- Provide technical assistance and product recommendations to distributors and end users
- Quote pricing and delivery dates; process distributor referrals for end-user customers
- Recognize and recommend product add-on opportunities during order review
- Process, edit, and interpret customer orders, including product literature, catalogs, and samples
- Schedule shipment dates and enter orders accurately into internal systems
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints, including tracking shipments and initiating carrier trace procedures when necessary
- Review, approve, and process customer return requests
- Enter and release credits, debits, and invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy
- Determine freight rates, contact carriers as needed, and prepare Canadian export documentation
- Support Marketing initiatives including campaigns, events, seminars, and webinars as appropriate
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure inventory alignment, backorder review, and timely issue resolution
- Prepare and review reports related to order processing, customer commitments, product availability, and product demand trends
- Maintain accurate sales records, files, and system data; purge inactive accounts as required
- Participate as a team member by coordinating work activities and cross-training across functional areas
- Champion quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Act as backup to the Receptionist as needed
