TIMBR Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Chef de Cuisine to help lead one of the city’s most ambitious and evolving culinary programs.
TIMBR is a high-energy, design-forward restaurant built around wood fire, elevated hospitality, and a culture of excellence. We are creating a restaurant that blends the intensity and precision of top-tier kitchens with the warmth and energy of a modern dining experience.
This is an opportunity for a chef who wants more than a job. We are looking for a leader who wants to build, mentor, create, and push standards daily alongside a deeply committed ownership and operations team.
The Role
The Chef de Cuisine will work directly with leadership to oversee daily kitchen operations, execution, menu development, systems, and team culture. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, leads from the front, and understands that consistency, discipline, and hospitality matter just as much as creativity.
Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the culinary team daily
• Maintain exceptional standards in execution, organization, cleanliness, and consistency
• Drive prep systems, service standards, and operational structure
• Assist in menu development, costing, and seasonal features
• Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and professionalism
• Maintain high-level communication between FOH and BOH
• Execute service at a high standard in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
• Previous Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine experience in a high-volume or chef-driven restaurant
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Deep respect for systems, discipline, and consistency
• Ability to lead calm, focused service under pressure
• Passion for mentorship and team development
• Weekend and evening availability required
