Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry competency Progressive Care experience Description: Mission Client is a flagship healthcare facility recognized for its commitment to providing high clinical quality year over year. It is licensed for 815 beds and has received national recognition for patient care and safety. The hospital has earned a prestigious designation for nursing excellence. This unit serves as a referral center for trauma and stroke care. It also offers advanced surgical programs and specialized care for various patient needs. The unit consists of 20 beds with staffing including charge nurses, registered nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Patient ratios are typically 1:5 or 1:6, dependent on the level of care. The unit accommodates inpatient overflow with varying levels of medical and surgical care needs. Patients are typically scheduled for short stays with a focus on quick turnover. Telemetry monitoring is available, and all patients are hardwired to bedside monitors as needed. The electronic medical record system utilized is Cerner. Recent experience in progressive care is preferred for candidates. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude and a focus on patient experience. A team-oriented approach is essential in this environment. Travelers may be required to float to other units as necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other week, but there is no on-call obligation.
