Title: Billing Analyst II Location: Kearny Mesa, CA Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 Schedule: Monday to Thursday on-site, Friday Remote Duration: 6-Month contract, potential for extension Responsibilities Perform quality assurance reviews of billing processes completed by third-party service providers to ensure accuracy and compliance. Process utility billing transactions, including billing adjustments, rebills, and exception resolution. Review and apply rate schedules, tariffs, customer classifications, and billing rules to ensure accurate invoice generation. Analyze usage data, billing determinants, and account configurations to identify and resolve billing discrepancies. Investigate and resolve routine billing exceptions and customer billing inquiries in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and established billing procedures. Provide guidance, quality review, and operational support to third-party service providers to maintain billing accuracy and process consistency. Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in utility billing, billing operations, or billing quality assurance. Experience processing billing adjustments, rebills, and resolving billing exceptions. Working knowledge of utility rate schedules, tariffs, customer classifications, and billing regulations. Ability to analyze billing data and identify discrepancies or process improvements. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance.
