Assistant Professor, General Anesthesiologist - Teaching

General Anesthesiologist (2 Positions Available) The Department of Anesthesiology at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School, seeks two qualified General Anesthesiologist for full-time positions as Assistant Professor, Non‑Tenure Track. The effective day of the appointments is February 1, 2026. Candidates on H1B or equivalent visa are welcome to apply. Salary: A minimum of $513,000. The final salary offer will be based on qualifications, experience, and available department or grant funds. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide on‑site anesthesia services to adult patients at University Hospital in the Main Operating Rooms, the Same‑Day‑Surgery ORs in the Doctor’s Office Center, the Stone Center, and various off‑floor locations. Provide intraoperative and didactic teaching of residents and other educational activities that support institutional goals. Participate in various divisional, departmental, and institutional initiatives and activities. Engage in Faculty Development and skill/knowledge acquisition activities. Promote research that advances the discipline both academically and clinically. Complete all medical records in accordance with NJMS and hospital policies, within 7 days of the date of service. Submit all charge forms within 14 days of the date of service. Perform Medicare time studies or other required documentation for service under the program. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chair. Qualifications Medical doctorate (MD) or equivalent degree. Licensed to practice medicine in New Jersey (or eligible for licensure). Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Anesthesiologist (BC/BE). Excellent communication, teaching, and clinical skills.
