Customer Service Contractor

Financial Services Organization in Minneapolis is seeking four customer service contractors to support their financial advisors in the field. This will be a 12-month long assignment with an opportunity to get hired on permanently. Strong performance and attendance is required before being considered for the permanent position on the team.

Typical day includes answering 60-70 incoming calls from financial professionals looking to get assistance on our policies and procedures to communicate back to their customers. Research customer policy guidelines and reiterate information back to financial professionals. Provide accurate policy information to financial professionals. Assist in registration and navigation of company registration. Follow up with financial professionals when necessary. Responsible for supporting company new business annuity and life products, policy holder benefits, and claims.

Training includes classroom training that will last six weeks and then three months on the phone training. Three points of reference for coaching during this period. Classroom time is critical, can't miss ANY time (unless preplanned and requested in advance). Then capstone period is an additional three months, on the phones and training really need them to not miss anytime. Only exception is a pre-planned request.

Measure performance monthly one on ones when out of training. During capstone it's weekly. Focused measure is efficiency and quality. Call time, and quality of answers. Attendance 1 minute off is a tardy, of attendance point. Phone needs to be on, or you are late. 2 points is a verbal, then written. Two different types of call reviews are completed by the quality team and direct manager. Quality team will reference 12 calls in capstone, 5 calls out of training. Managers will pull calls to listen for customer service skills and discuss during monthly one on ones.

Additional skills and qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years of customer service experience in a professional environment, minimum internet speeds of 10 mbps upload and 50 mbps download. Preferred: call center experience, insurance, benefits, pension plan experience/knowledge, bachelors degree or associates degree experience.

Experience level is intermediate level.

Job type and location: this is a contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and benefits: the pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
