Emergency Department Medical Director - SAGE Campbell SAGE Campbell is seeking an experienced ER Medical Director to join a busy, well‑established hospital where you can make a real impact on patient care and team growth. Your Role As ER Medical Director, you will balance strategic leadership with hands‑on clinical care. You will: Oversee ER medical standards, protocols, and quality initiatives Partner with the Hospital Director and Specialty Medical Director on operations, recruitment, and long‑term planning Guide and support experienced ER doctors while helping to mentor new ER doctors through our ER Immerse mentorship program Drive positive change, support team development, and maintain a collaborative, accountable culture Strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians and the local community Duty split: ~75% clinical/~25% administrative 4‑day workweek with 3 clinical days and 1 admin day What We’re Looking For DVM or equivalent; eligible for California licensure 4+ years of clinical experience in a multi‑specialty hospital with 2+ years in a leadership role Strong leadership skills with confidence in change management and addressing complex issues Passion for mentorship, professional development, and medical excellence Solutions‑oriented, collaborative, and decisive The Campbell Difference Renovation completed last year on our space substantially expanded our ER floorspace and upgraded our facilities Very warm, collegiate group of emergency and specialist colleagues who are supportive and approachable Talented nursing team capable of advanced procedures such as central line placement, arterial blood gas sampling, and ventilator support.
