Business Operations Analyst / Product Support Analyst / Python & SQL Engineer (W2 Contract) – Leading Mortgage Company Duration: Through December 31, 2026 Shift Requirement: One week of night shifts and one weekend per month Rate: Competitive (Based on Experience) About the Role We are seeking a Product Support Analyst / Python & SQL Engineer to join a leading mortgage organization supporting the Mercury Product Management Team. This is a production support and analytics role focused on maintaining mission‑critical forecasting applications, troubleshooting production issues, automating operational processes, and supporting financial modeling platforms. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong Python, SQL, Excel, production support, and data analysis experience who are interested in working within the financial services industry. Key Responsibilities Provide production support for mission‑critical applications during assigned evening and weekend support rotations. Investigate and resolve production incidents while ensuring application stability and resiliency. Support forecasting engines by assisting with development, testing, deployment validation, and impact analysis. Perform SQL queries, Python scripting, and Excel analysis to troubleshoot application and data issues. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and performance issues. Support end‑to‑end testing of forecasting applications across multiple environments. Develop automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort. Assist with environment maintenance, application monitoring, and release support. Create and maintain JIRA dashboards, tickets, and project tracking. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to improve application performance and customer satisfaction. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience with Python scripting, SQL, and Excel for data analysis. Experience supporting production applications in an enterprise environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze large datasets. Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting business‑critical systems. Experience with JIRA (dashboards, ticket management, reporting). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Financial Services, Mortgage, Fixed Income, or Capital Markets. Experience supporting forecasting or financial analytics applications. Knowledge of production monitoring and operational support best practices.
