About the Opportunity

Our client is a provider of supportive living services dedicated to helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life. They are seeking an experienced Director of Operations with a strong background in DMH ISL services to oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive organizational growth.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can effectively manage staff, maintain compliance standards, and support high-quality service delivery.

What You'll Do

• Lead and oversee clinical and administrative operations
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate staff
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
• Conduct team meetings and performance improvement initiatives
• Develop succession planning and staff development programs
• Ensure compliance with all DMH, state, federal, CMS, and HIPAA regulations
• Oversee audits, surveys, accreditation reviews, and licensure requirements
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures
• Monitor operational performance, productivity, and financial outcomes
• Collaborate on budgeting and resource allocation
• Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Review clinical outcomes and documentation standards
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions
• Participate in on-call leadership rotation
• Manage urgent staffing, operational, and client-related issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• Master's degree preferred
• Current professional license preferred, RN strongly preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in healthcare
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursement structures
• Experience with state licensure, CMS certification, and regulatory compliance
• Proven leadership, strategic planning, and operational management experience

Required DMH ISL Experience

• Prior Director-level experience within DMH ISL services is required
• 5-10 years of Director experience in ISL environments preferred
• Experience managing DMH audits, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of ISP, BSP, MAR, medical and dental binders, and related documentation
• Experience with DMH budgets and billing
• Hands-on leadership approach with strong operational involvement
