Location Aurora, IL Job Overview The Kestra team has over 400 years of experience in cardiac medical device markets and focuses on innovative wearable technology. The ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) will conduct patient fitting activities in support of the sales organization and the team of Regional Clinical Advisors. The position is paid per fitting. Essential Duties Act as a contractor ASSURE® Patient Specialist to fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator via assignments dispatched from corporate headquarters. Be trained and certified as an ASSURE Patient Specialist by Kestra. Provide instruction and instill confidence in Assure® patients with demonstrated patient care skills. Contact prescribers, caregivers, and patients to schedule services. Accept assignments that may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Travel to hospitals, patients’ homes, and other healthcare facilities to provide fitting services. Measure the patient to determine the correct garment size. Review and transmit essential paperwork with the patient to receive the Assure® garment and services. Manage inventory of the Assure® system kits, garments, and electronic equipment used in fittings. Demonstrate flexibility of work schedule and accept competitive pay. Adhere to the Pledge of Confidentiality; protect patient information internally only. Requirements Education/Experience required: 1 year of paid patient‑care experience (non‑family caregiver). Clinical or engineering background (nurse, cardiac device sales rep, clinical engineer, catheterization lab tech, physician assistant, ECG tech, etc.). Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable). Completion of background check; Florida and Ohio must complete level 2 screening paid by Kestra. Will pay an annual DME fee deducted from the completed work order. Pay for vendor credentialing upfront during a 90‑day probationary period. Experience in patient and/or clinician education. Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a good driving record. Ability to work consistently in the field in and around Brownsville, TX (disclosures required for potential relationships and referral sources). Ability to achieve credentialing for hospital system entry, including documentation of vaccination, background check, drug screening, review of hospital policies, and completion of HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogens, Electrical/Fire Safety courses. Preferred: Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. Direct cardiac patient‑care experience (RN, RT, CVIS, Paramedic, CRM). Work Environment Typical office or hospital noise volume.
