Job Position: Medical Receptionist Float

Location: Pontiac, MI 48341

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Description: Medical Receptionist: Mon, Wed, Fri 8:30 - 5pm, maybe one late night. May need to occasionally float to other offices as needed.


Essential Functions:
Welcome patients and visotors with a smile
Answer incoming calls and assist callers in a friendly, professional demeanor
Explain practice policies and services to patients and visitors
Provide wait time updates and maintain cleanliness of the reception area.
Utilize electronic medical system efficiently and accurately (NextGen)
Update and verify patient demographics and financial accounts
Assist paitents with necessary paperwork, using translators when necessary
Communicate accurate insurance and sliding fee scale tprocess to all patients as needed
Verify insurance and Primary Care Provider and facilitate PCP reassignment if necessary

Office Operations:
Responsible for all incomoing documents including but not limited to: FAX, email, scans, mail and hand-deliverd documents
Scan all documents into patient charts immediately when received
Other duties as needed.
