Clinical Nurse (RN) - 300P Pre/Post (0.9 FTE, 12-Hour Rotating Shifts, On-Call Required)

Job Title Clinical Nurse (RN) – Perianesthesia – PACU / ICU Job Overview The Clinical Nurse (CN) is an RN who provides hands‑on care to patients recovering from general or regional anesthesia, moderate sedation, or in the ICU. The CN will be stationed within the perianesthesia region, servicing over 20 operating rooms and procedural suites across numerous specialties. Responsibilities Perform established nursing procedures using clinical knowledge. Care for patients recovering from anesthesia, moderate sedation, and ICU care. Establish therapeutic relationships and provide emotional support to patients and families. Obtain assessment data, interpret findings, and identify nursing diagnoses. Collaborate with the care team to develop individualized care plans and implement interventions. Teach patients, families, and staff as needed. Respond rapidly to changing situations and activate emergency protocols. Monitor and ensure quality healthcare practices and assist in continuous improvement initiatives. Manage priorities, delegate tasks, and contribute to team building and morale. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN). Preferred. Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (cardiac preferred). Preferred PACU background in addition to ICU experience. Current California Registered Nurse license. CPAN certification preferred. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Licenses and Certifications California RN license, American Heart Association BCLS and ACLS. CPAN certification preferred. Physical Demands and Work Conditions Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and walking. Exposure to blood, body fluids, radiation, and infection risk. Protective equipment is required. Compensation Base pay scale starting at $96.35–$111.14 per hour, determined by experience, education, specialty, and training.
