Line Cook
The Farmers Daughter Restaurant at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a qualified individual who is interested in working in an upscale hospitality environment. An exemplary work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and a passion for providing superior customer service are necessary for all applicants.
This is a full-time position with a full benefits package to include medical, dental, vision and paid time off.
Must be flexible to work AM and PM shift five (5) days a week to include weekends.
Line Cook would be responsible for preparing food in our Farmers Daughter a La Carte kitchen which includes, but is not limited to grilling, frying, sauting and preparing hot hors doeuvres. We are looking for candidates that are organized, responsible, have a positive demeanor, and are team players.
- Attends and participates in all training sessions and team meetings
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others while listening and responding in an appropriate manner
- Prepares all items required for line and special function purposes
- Carefully follows standard house recipes when preparing food
- Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Always maintains a clean and organized workstation
- Properly stores all food products in appropriate storage areas
- Follows instructions and adheres to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct
- Notifies and reports any problems or concerns to management
- Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices
- Cleans and locks up according to prescribed procedures
- Reports to Sous Chef
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- A minimum of two years of previous experience grilling, sauting and frying
- Must speak English
- Must be able to clearly communicate with managers and staff
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have your own reliable transportation to get to and from work.
