Bookkeeper

A construction contractor in North San Diego County is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to support accounting, job costing, project financial tracking, and general ledger activity. This temp-to-hire Bookkeeper opportunity is ideal for someone with construction office experience who enjoys working with numbers, project details, and accounting systems in a fast-paced contractor environment. This role offers the opportunity to grow in construction accounting while gaining hands‑on experience with QuickBooks, Procore, AP/AR, progress billing, job costing, budgeting, and project closeout support. Key Responsibilities Enter and maintain accurate financial, project, and job-cost data in QuickBooks. Track project costs, budgets, billing activity, profitability, and supporting documentation. Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, progress billing, and project closeout processes. Assist with Procore tasks, including uploading contracts and change orders and identifying QuickBooks sync errors. Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain audit-ready accounting records. Assist with year-end audit documentation, CPA requests, and general administrative accounting support. Compensation and Benefits Pay: $28 to $32 per hour, depending on experience. Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire, Full-Time. Schedule: Monday through Friday, in office. Hours: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Location: Vista, CA, North San Diego County.
