Pre-Fabrication Assembler

Job Description

Pre-Fab role focuses on assembling aluminum components and systems used in large-scale commercial and multifamily construction projects. You will work in a fast-paced production environment using hand and power tools, following work instructions to build high-quality architectural aluminum products.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aluminum components and systems according to written instructions
• Use hand tools and power tools
• Mark materials accurately using tape measures
• Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and make necessary adjustments during the build process
• Perform general labor tasks related to assembly, material handling, and workstation organization as needed
• Check parts and assemblies for accuracy, fit, and finish.
• Contribute to maintaining an efficient workflow
• Work collaboratively with team members and follow supervisor instructions to complete daily production goals

Essential Skills

• Proven mechanical assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using common hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read work instructions
• Proficiency using a tape measure
• Ability to troubleshoot minor assembly issues and make adjustments during the process
• Reliability in following instructions, meeting deadlines, and supporting production goals

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with aluminum or metal assembly and fabrication.
• Experience in construction-related manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with quality inspection processes in a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of workflow efficiency or lean manufacturing practices.
• Comfort working with architectural or structural components is a plus.

Work Environment

You will work in a production and manufacturing environment focused on architectural aluminum systems, including prefabricated balconies, railing systems, and custom aluminum solutions. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule 1st and 2nd shifts available. The environment emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality, with a focus on meeting production targets while maintaining organized and clean workstations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
