Research Assistant (Part-Time/Hybrid) - Radiology

Position Summary Scheduled Hours: 15. Research Assistant will train machine learning models to recognize devices visible during images from fluoroscopic procedures (e.g., PTA balloons, stents, filters, embolization coils). This is part of ongoing work in Interventional Radiology to analyze performance during fluoroscopic procedures. Assists with research study, experiments, preparation of material, and documentation. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Conduct research experiments and assays. Review and label deidentified images from fluoroscopic procedures. Train and test machine learning models that analyze images and procedural metadata. Evaluate research results, report findings, and discuss project outcomes with staff. Perform data entry and maintain data files on research. Analyze data and prepare presentations/publications. Coordinate tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc. Comply with established safety procedures and maintain required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions. Coordinate research project with other institutions and investigators. Participate in developing hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing them. Assist with general supply/equipment orders, lab maintenance and cleaning. Perform literature research on specified topics. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. Must be physically able to wear protective equipment and provide standard care to research animals. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum education. Laboratory Operations – 2 years of experience. None of the following certifications or licenses are required for this position. Salary Range $17.10 – $29.09 per hour. Grade
