Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, evidence-based treatment options available, and essential self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor client progress continually and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure the most effective care.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and community resources to provide integrated care that comprehensively addresses clients’ needs.

• Stay informed about current research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic strategies and methodologies.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation following all legal and ethical standards relevant to mental health care.

• Participate in case consultations, professional development sessions, and team meetings to foster continuous learning and collaboration.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work towards reducing stigma around mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, which may include severe cases of depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also have the opportunity to provide therapy to specific groups, such as refugees, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals experiencing homelessness, addressing the complex interplay of mental health and socio-economic factors.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

• Exhibit empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients' experiences and struggles.

• The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 70,000 and 90,000 annually , commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
