Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients experiencing mood disorders, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms to devise effective treatment strategies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into consideration their personal goals, preferences, and specific circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to ensure clients receive the highest standard of care.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices, fostering a comprehensive support system.

• Monitor and document client progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to adapt to the evolving needs of clients.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated care plan that addresses both mental health and physical health needs.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve therapeutic practices.

• Maintain client confidentiality and secure documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also work with diverse groups, such as victims of domestic abuse and refugees, addressing their unique challenges and developing tailored therapeutic approaches that resonate with their experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
