Insurance Job: Commercial Lines Account Executive 

Insurance Agency Location:  Hempstead, NY

Salary: $80,000- 100,00

*Must have independent agency experience | P&C License | Designations*

Independent insurance agency is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Executive to grow, service and manage a book of commercial lines accounts.  This is a client facing role responsible for new business sales and growth of existing accounts based on clients changing insurance requirements.  AE will consult with clients about policy and coverage recommendations and also discus risk management concerns.  This position will have an assistant AE to help with administrative and client service related concerns.

Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance
• Experience with a variety of industries, but with a focus on life science, tech, wholesale, manufacturing, and distributors.
• Research and compile answers to client policy and coverage questions
• Ability to assist with the marketing/quoting process 
• Experience with multiple carrier underwriters 
• Identify, compile and manage information regarding account renewals

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of insurance industry experience related to servicing commercial accounts
• Property and Casualty license
• CIC, CPCU, or other insurance designations are desirable
• Applied (TAM or EPIC) or AMS360 software experience preferred
• Knowledge of Insurance and/or Brokerage business
• Technical knowledge of product area or industry
• Risk management experience
• Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management on risk management issues
• Knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Verbal and written communication skills
