Physician - Neonatology

Practice Medical DirectorWe are seeking a Board-Certified Neonatologist to step into a Practice Medical Director role. The position involves leading clinical excellence, quality initiatives, and academic advancement within a high-acuity Level IIIB NICU. You will provide clinical care in a NICU with 60 beds and approximately 625 annual admissions. As Practice Medical Director, you will oversee clinical operations and provider performance. Your role will include leading and implementing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. You will drive clinical innovation and program development within the neonatal service line. Collaboration with hospital leadership and academic partners will be essential to expand neonatal services. Participation in teaching and academic responsibilities for medical students and pediatric and family medicine residents is expected. You will engage in Grand Rounds, simulation Boot Camps, and educational programming. Mentorship of residents in quality improvement and research projects will be part of your responsibilities. You will support and grow scholarly and academic initiatives in partnership with the medical school. You will work alongside multidisciplinary pediatric subspecialists. Utilization of advanced neonatal therapies such as high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy will be part of your practice. Candidates must be Board Certified and must not be accepting Board Eligible candidates. This role requires residency within the immediate local area, and relocation may be required. Shared neonatal call coverage is part of the physician leadership team with a rotational schedule. Rotational weekend NICU coverage will also be required.
