Part-Time IT Support Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time IT Support Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in San Clemente, CA. This role is ideal for a dependable, service-oriented IT professional who enjoys hands-on desktop support, Microsoft 365 administration, and helping users solve day-to-day technology issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide on-site technical support for computers, mobile devices, printers, software applications, connectivity issues, and general user technology needs.
- Administer Microsoft 365, including user accounts, email, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, licenses, multi-factor authentication, and access management.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, account permissions, equipment tracking, and recovery of company assets.
- Support Windows, macOS, and mobile devices while helping maintain updates, security standards, and user productivity.
- Troubleshoot basic network, Wi-Fi, VPN, and account access issues, escalating more complex items when needed.
- Maintain IT inventory, software licenses, user documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and assist with IT projects, new software, AI tools, automation, AV, or smart-building technology.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $24 to $27 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
- Employment type: Direct hire.
- Location: San Clemente, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide hands-on desktop support for employees across computers, mobile devices, printers, software, and connectivity needs.
- Administer Microsoft 365 users, licenses, email, collaboration tools, permissions, and MFA.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, device setup, access control, and IT inventory management.
- Assist with IT documentation, troubleshooting procedures, technology improvements, and small IT projects.

- 2+ years of IT support, help desk, desktop support, or similar technical support experience.
- Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 in a business environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, mobile devices, printers, and basic networking concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN, account access, software, and hardware issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users in a professional and patient manner.
- Strong organization, documentation, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, team-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality when handling user, business, and system information.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be comfortable around dogs.

Preferred Qualifications

- CompTIA A+ certification.
- CompTIA Network+ certification.
- Microsoft 365 certification.
- Experience with Intune or other mobile device management tools.
- Experience supporting AV systems, IP camera systems, or smart-building technology.
- Familiarity with AI tools, workflow automation, or process improvement technology.
