Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $160,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulation.
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and overseeing daily operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
- Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud, ensure accuracy, and safeguard the company's assets.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Analyze and control costs to improve profitability.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and experience with ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
