Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $160,000 to $180,000 per year.

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulation.
• Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Lead and manage the accounting team, including hiring, training, and overseeing daily operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns.
• Oversee cash flow management and forecasting.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to prevent fraud, ensure accuracy, and safeguard the company's assets.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
• Analyze and control costs to improve profitability.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel) and experience with ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
