Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This travel opportunity seeks an experienced pharmacist to provide leadership as a Director of Pharmacy (DOP) plus Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at an acute behavioral health hospital. The position requires a pharmacist with a strong background in inpatient pharmacy and management, ready to cover from early November until a permanent hire is in place.

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Weekly on-call coverage Monday through Thursday
• On-call during the first and last weekend of each month
• No weekend day shifts required

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Minimum of 3 years management experience in a pharmacy setting
• Demonstrated inpatient pharmacy expertise
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Cerner order entry system preferred

Responsibilities:

• Oversee staffing and scheduling for pharmacy operations
• Manage weekly on-call arrangements and participate in meetings
• Investigate and document medication errors and adverse drug reactions (ADRs)
• Submit pharmaceutical orders including AmerisourceBergen and long-acting injectable (LAI) replacement orders
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians for operational support including phone assistance, medication preparation, and monthly unit inspections for expired medications

Pharmacy Team:

• 1 full-time pharmacist
• 1 part-time pharmacy technician (8 hours/week)
