Design Consultant - Custom Closets | Woodland Hills, CA

Inspired Closets Los Angeles designs and manufactures custom closets, garage storage, pantries, home offices, and wall beds for homeowners across the San Fernando and Conejo Valley.

We are hiring a Design Consultant to run in-home design consultations, create the design with the client, and close the sale. This is a full-cycle design sales role: you own the appointment from first handshake to signed agreement to installation day.

**Read this part before you apply.** We give you roughly half your appointments — from our showroom, our website, referrals, and paid marketing. You build the other half yourself, through referral partners, past clients, and your own network in the community. Our highest earners are the consultants who work both sides. If you want a seat where the phone rings for you and nothing more is expected, this is not that seat. If you want uncapped commission and control over your own pipeline, keep reading.

What You'll Do

• Meet homeowners in their homes and in our Woodland Hills showroom for design consultations
• Measure the space, learn how the client actually lives, and design a storage solution around it
• Build the design and 3D presentation in our design software (full training provided)
• Present the design and price, handle objections, and close the sale in the appointment
• Build and work your own referral network — interior designers, realtors, builders, general contractors, remodelers, organizers, and property managers
• Generate repeat and referral business from past clients
• Represent us at community events, trade groups, and showroom events
• Follow up on quotes and nurture leads that need time
• Stay in touch with the client through production and installation
• Track every lead, appointment, and opportunity in Salesforce

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years in commissioned sales, preferably in-home sales, design sales, or a related trade — closets, kitchen and bath, cabinetry, furniture, flooring, windows, remodeling, or interior design
• A strong closer who is comfortable presenting price and asking for the order
• An eye for space planning and design, and the discipline to measure accurately
• Comfortable with design software, CRM, and a tablet or laptop in the field
• Reliable vehicle, valid California driver's license, and clean driving record
• Willing to work some Saturdays and occasional evening appointments — that is when homeowners are home
• Interior design background, space planning experience, or design/build sales experience is a plus, but not required
