Produce Manager

We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Produce Manager to lead our produce department with a passion for freshness, quality, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations—ordering and receiving shipments, maintaining vibrant displays, rotating stock, and ensuring every item meets our high standards. You’ll lead and train a team, manage inventory, and create a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping experience. Main responsibilities Supervise all aspects of Produce & Floral department operations, including customer service, merchandising, product quality, ordering, pricing, stocking, staffing, and training. Achieve department goals for sales, gross profit, labor, shrink, and inventory. Ensure adherence to all company and department policies and procedures. Perform duties of department personnel as needed; act as manager‑on‑duty when Store/Assistant Manager is absent. Supervise, train, and evaluate 2–20 associates in a fast‑paced, multifunctional environment, including disciplinary actions when required. Prepare weekly work schedules and determine appropriate staffing levels based on business needs. Maintain food safety, workplace safety, and support company audit readiness. Operate store computer systems effectively to support department operations.
