Senior Vice Provost for Research

The client seeks a Senior Vice Provost for Research to advance the client’s leadership in high-impact research on a global scale. Working closely with a new provost and research leaders across the institution, the role is expected to accelerate research impact and productivity by fostering an ambitious, collaborative research culture and strengthening enterprise-wide coordination. The Senior Vice Provost for Research will oversee a substantial research enterprise and drive strategic growth through increased productivity, strategic faculty hiring, and expanded collaborations with industry and other external partners. This includes developing and shepherding a research strategy that leverages a global network of campuses and partners, strengthens research infrastructure, and builds on existing interdisciplinary institutes and centers to sustain momentum and scale. The role will also continue to develop empowered research mechanisms and create new pathways for advancement in priority areas such as security, health, and sustainability, among others.
