Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide therapy from your own home while connecting with clients via secure telehealth platforms. Abundance Counseling Center supports a flexible and collaborative work culture, promoting open communication and team engagement. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts expected to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, identifying the complex needs and challenges faced by older adults, including cognitive and emotional factors.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that consider the intertwined aspects of physical health, social dynamics, and personal history.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, to effectively manage geriatric-specific psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including geriatric psychiatrists, to ensure a unified approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective response for our elderly clients.

• Engage with patients' families, offering education on mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and available community resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential records in accordance with legal requirements and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly focus on the geriatric population, addressing a range of mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, dementia-related disorders, and adjustment difficulties. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must hold current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Texas.

Compensation and Benefits\n
