Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents, utilizing evidence-based evaluation techniques to identify their specific psychological and emotional care needs.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on fostering emotional resilience and addressing feelings of loss, isolation, and anxiety often associated with aging.

• Team up with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, contributing to the development of personalized, comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of geriatric clients.

• Equip staff and families with educational resources and techniques that enhance the therapeutic environment, aiming to improve the overall emotional health and quality of life for older adults.

• Implement and oversee grief and loss counseling programs tailored for residents and their families experiencing end-of-life challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on seniors coping with various mental health challenges due to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and grief. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution or university.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) status in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n
