This remote role, based out of our Jacksonville, Florida office, allows for flexibility while providing the necessary resources to deliver effective mental health support to our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of elderly residents to identify their specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions that explore and address emotional challenges related to aging, such as loss and life transitions.

• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans aimed at improving the overall mental health and well-being of geriatric clients.

• Engage with family members and staff to educate them on effective strategies for enhancing the quality of life and emotional well-being of seniors.

• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling for residents and their families, particularly those facing end-of-life issues.

• Design and implement cognitive stimulation programs alongside mental health interventions to promote mental acuity and resilience in older adults.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on seniors aged 65 and older, who may be dealing with various mental health challenges ranging from depression and anxiety to grief and chronic illness. As an LMHC, you will play a critical role in helping these individuals find hope and healing through appropriate therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Current valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time position offers competitive yearly compensation ranging from $85,000 to $105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, a sign-on bonus will be provided to the successful candidate. Benefits include:
