Work Environment\n

This role offers a flexible remote work environment, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home. Our telehealth facility utilizes state-of-the-art technology to ensure secure and effective communication and counseling. You will work standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, maintaining a structured schedule while accommodating the diverse needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific emotional and psychological needs.

• Deliver individualized and group counseling sessions focusing on age-related issues, grief, loss, and life transitions.

• Provide education and support to family members and staff on enhancing emotional well-being and quality of life for elderly individuals.

• Facilitate grief and loss counseling for residents and their families who are dealing with end-of-life issues, ensuring compassionate and individualized care.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and refine treatment plans tailored to the unique challenges faced by each client.

• Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to maintain continuity of care and support clients in achieving their mental health goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on elderly clients, including individuals dealing with age-related mental health challenges, elder care transitions, grief, loss, and coping with significant life changes. Each session aims to address these issues through empathetic listening, therapeutic interventions, and emotional support, allowing patients to improve their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A minimum of two years of recent experience in geriatric counseling or mental health support.
