Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – Western North Carolina

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; Every other weekend required; Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1 at standard grid, stretched to 5:1

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma patient populations
• Comprehensive case mix including chest tubes, PCA pumps, tracheostomies, lumbar drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• EMR system: Cerner
• Work alongside a robust team of 95 nursing professionals with supportive CNC/Charge leadership on every shift
• Clinical equipment includes IV pumps, Skylifts, patient lifts, and specialized neuro/trauma monitoring tools
• Floating primarily to other stepdown and medical-surgical units as needed

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• ACLS and BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Prior experience in neuro and trauma care (required)
• Ability to perform neuro and spinal assessments, C-collar placement, TLSO brace application, and manage complex infusion therapies
• Navy blue scrubs required
