Administrative Nurse Manager

Location: Bronx, New York; Grant Funded: No; Department: OR – Perioperative Administration East; Work Shift: Day; Work Days: MON-FRI; Scheduled Hours: 7 AM-3:30 PM; Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS; Pay Range: $156,000.00-$195,000.00 Administrative Nurse Manager, Operating Room Responsibilities Maintain nursing practice standards as defined by the American Nurses’ Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing Social Policy Statement. Actualize Montefiore Medical Center’s vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures. Participate in performance improvement and research activities, maintaining professional practice standards and demonstrating leadership. Demonstrate core and unit-specific competencies based on patient population served. Hold 24‑hour responsibility for supervision, scheduling, hiring, firing and performance appraisal of nursing and ancillary associates within surgical specialties, especially Operating Room. Coordinate inventory management, budgeting and performance improvement activities to promote efficient and effective operations and quality patient care. Develop and maintain competence of assigned associates. Schedule Monday to Friday: 7 AM-3:30 PM (7.5 hours per day) Education, Training & Experience New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State required. Master’s degree from an accredited program required or a projected graduation date within three years of position acceptance. M.S.N. preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of management experience or progressive leadership experience required. Minimum three years of OR experience required. CNOR Certification preferred. BLS required.
