Pay Rate: $70,000 base salary
Pay Type: Salary + 1% gross profit commission

About Don's Auto Center

Don's Auto Center is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor in Lawrence, Kansas. This salaried position offers a $70,000 base plus 1% gross profit commission, with earning potential up to $90,000. You'll work Monday through Friday in a busy, AAA-approved independent repair shop with consistent workflow, supported by health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, and ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide an excellent automotive service experience.
• Write estimates and clearly present service and repair recommendations to customers.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule service appointments.
• Communicate clearly with customers and automotive technicians throughout the repair process.
• Order parts and help coordinate shop workflow efficiently.
• Maintain accurate, organized repair orders and service documentation.
• Shuttle customer vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Automotive Service Advisor experience in an independent repair shop REQUIRED
• Experience writing automotive repair estimates and selling recommended services.
• Strong customer service and sales skills.
• Excellent phone, verbal, and customer communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with technicians and other team members.
• Demonstrated reliability, follow-through, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Able to follow the shop's job-related uniform, hygiene, and safety requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• $70,000 base salary.
• 1% gross profit commission.
• Earning potential up to $90,000.
