About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide visionary strategic leadership and set the organizational direction in partnership with the Board. The successful candidate will be the chief external spokesperson, overseeing all programs and leading a talented staff team to build organizational capacity. Key responsibilities include driving the fundraising and development strategy, managing a significant annual budget, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. The role also involves deepening coalitions, partnerships, and relationships across various sectors. The ideal CEO will have senior nonprofit or mission-driven organizational leadership experience, with a proven track record in managing multi-program organizations and leading high-performing staff teams. Experience in advocacy, education, training, and community-based programs is essential, and a background in public policy and government relations is a strong plus. The candidate should possess strong fundraising and development experience, including the cultivation of individual donors, foundations, and government contracts. Exceptional communication and public speaking skills are required to serve as a credible external spokesperson. The role is pivotal at a time of significant change in behavioral health policy, funding, and public awareness, and the incoming CEO will inherit a strong organizational foundation and a dedicated team.
